Google API Services: Limited Use disclosure

Effective date: Oct 7, 2026
Last updated: Oct 7, 2026

Docdrift's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The use of information received from Google Workspace scopes will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

This page explains how Docdrift, operated by Un martes a las 10 am, S.A. de C.V., accesses, uses, stores and shares Google user data. It's part of our Privacy Policy.

What Docdrift accesses

When you connect Google Docs, Docdrift asks for:

  • drive.file: access only to the Google Docs files you pick in the Google file picker. Docdrift can't see any other file in your Drive.
  • openid and email: your Google account's email address, so Docdrift can show which account is connected.

Docdrift doesn't ask for access to your whole Drive, your Gmail, your contacts or your calendar.

How Docdrift uses it

  • Docdrift reads the documents you picked to find what they say your product does, and checks those statements against your code. It rereads them to notice changes.
  • Parts of those documents may be sent to our AI provider, Google Cloud Vertex AI in the European Union, to analyze them. Vertex AI is configured with zero data retention and doesn't use the data to train models.
  • Docdrift never edits, creates or deletes Google Docs.

What Docdrift stores

  • The statements Docdrift extracts from each document and the structure of its sections, so it can show you findings. The full text isn't stored; Docdrift rereads it from Google when needed.
  • The Google account email and the access tokens for your connection. Tokens are encrypted with a key for your workspace.

What Docdrift never does with Google user data

  • It doesn't use it to create, train or improve any AI or machine learning model, general or otherwise.
  • It doesn't sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to decide anyone's credit.
  • It doesn't transfer it to anyone, except to provide or improve the features you use, to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you. Our subprocessors are listed on the Subprocessors page.
  • People at Docdrift don't read it, unless you ask us to (for example, for support), it's needed for security or to investigate abuse, or the law requires it.

Disconnecting and deleting

  • Disconnect Google in Docdrift, in Settings, at any time. Docdrift deletes the tokens right away and asks Google to revoke them. The documents you connected stop being checked until you connect them again.
  • When you remove a Google Docs source, Docdrift deletes the statements it extracted from its documents.
  • You can also remove Docdrift's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
