These terms are an agreement between you and Un martes a las 10 am, S.A. de C.V., a Mexican company with its address at Calle Perseo 1304, Col. Concepción La Cruz, C.P. 72836, San Andrés Cholula, Puebla, Mexico ("Docdrift", "we", "us"). They cover your use of Docdrift at docdrift.io, the Docdrift app, its GitHub Apps, its MCP server and agent hooks, and its connector for AI assistants (together, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms. If you accept them for a company or other organization, you confirm you can bind it, and "you" means that organization too.
These documents are part of these terms:
- Privacy Policy
- Acceptable Use Policy
- Billing & Refunds
- Data Processing Agreement, when we process personal data on your behalf
- Subprocessors and Cookie Policy
1. Who can use Docdrift
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Docdrift is a tool for building and running software products. It's meant for professional use, including by people who work on their own. If you're a consumer under the law of your country, section 20 explains the rights you keep.
- You can't use Docdrift if you're barred from receiving services under the laws that apply to you, or if you're subject to sanctions of Mexico, the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom or the United States.
2. Accounts, workspaces and roles
- You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email or with GitHub. Keep access to your email and GitHub account secure. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- Each account belongs to one person. Don't share it.
- Your work lives in workspaces. The person who creates a workspace is its Owner. The Owner controls the workspace, its plan and billing, who can join and what's published, and can transfer ownership to another member. On plans that allow members, the Owner can invite Developers and Viewers, with the permissions shown in the app.
- The Owner is responsible for the workspace's members and for making sure they follow these terms.
- Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think someone accessed your account without permission.
3. The Service
- Docdrift reads your code and your product documentation, keeps a baseline of what your product does, checks each change against your docs, rules and decisions, and helps you resolve differences. What each plan includes is on our pricing page.
- Some languages and features are marked beta. They work but may be less accurate, and they may change.
- We improve Docdrift continuously and may change or remove features. If a change materially reduces what your paid plan includes, we'll tell you at least 30 days before, and you can cancel as described in Billing & Refunds.
- We work to keep Docdrift available but don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We don't offer a service level agreement.
4. Connecting GitHub, docs and other services
- Docdrift works with services you connect: GitHub, Notion and Google Docs, and your AI agents and assistants. You need the right to connect each repository, page, document and site you connect, and you keep following the terms of those services.
- GitHub. The Docdrift GitHub App can read code, publish a check and post one comment per pull request. It can't push code, merge or create issues. A second app, Docdrift Write, is optional: you install it only on the repositories where you turn on features that write, and it only creates
docdrift/branches, opens pull requests and creates issues that a person approved. Docdrift never merges and never pushes to branches it didn't create. Branches it pushes run your CI like any other push. The exact permissions of each app are on our Security page. - Notion and Google Docs. Docdrift reads only the pages and files you share or pick. It edits a Notion page only when a person approves the edit, and it never edits Google Docs.
- If a connected service stops giving Docdrift access, the features that depend on it stop working until you reconnect it.
5. Your content
- You own your content. "Customer Data" means what you and your team put into Docdrift or connect to it, and what Docdrift derives from it for you. You keep all rights to it.
- You give us a limited permission to host, copy, process and display Customer Data only to provide the Service to you, to keep it secure and to comply with the law.
- We never store your source code. Docdrift reads your code in memory while it analyzes a change and deletes it when the job ends. We keep only what we derive from it, as our Security page lists.
- We don't use Customer Data to train AI models, and our AI provider doesn't either.
- We may use aggregated, de-identified data about how the Service is used (for example, how many findings are dismissed as inaccurate) to operate and improve Docdrift. It never includes your code, your docs or text your team wrote.
- If you send us feedback, we can use it without any obligation to you.
6. AI features and results
- Docdrift uses AI models, run on Google Cloud Vertex AI, to write capability names, explanations, answers, change notes and overviews, and to judge some findings. Text written by AI can be wrong or incomplete.
- Findings, checks and answers help you decide; they don't replace your judgment, a code review or a security audit. Review them before you rely on them. You can mark a result
Dismiss — not accurateorThis is wrongto help us improve. - Docdrift doesn't change anything on its own. Every change it proposes is a pull request, an issue or an edit that a person approves, and you decide what to merge.
7. Agents and AI assistants
- Agent tokens let your coding agents use Docdrift for one project. A token acts with the permissions of the person who created it. Keep tokens secret; you're responsible for their use until you revoke them. We revoke a token if we learn it was published.
- Claude and ChatGPT. If you connect Docdrift to your chat assistant, Docdrift sends that assistant the answers and data you ask for, and the assistant's provider handles them under your own agreement with it. Actions that send something ask you to confirm first.
8. Docdrift Verified
- Docdrift Verified is an optional public page and badge for a project. Only the Owner can publish it. If someone else's repository is part of the project, one of its admins must approve publishing.
- To verify your website, you prove you control it. You then allow DocdriftBot to read the public pages you chose and to check the uptime URL you set, as described at docdrift.io/bot.
- Docdrift Verified means Docdrift checked these facts in the code and on the site. It doesn't guarantee that the product works, is secure or makes money.
- You can make the page private at any time. Anyone can report a page. We may revoke a page's verification if it uses someone else's site or name, if a result was obtained by fooling the verification or if it breaks these terms.
9. Plans, trials and payment
Plans, prices and limits are on our pricing page. Payment, renewals, the Team trial, extra packs, cancellation and refunds are governed by Billing & Refunds. We may change prices for future periods; we'll tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it does.
10. Acceptable use
Follow our Acceptable Use Policy.
11. Export, disconnection and deletion
- You can export your workspace or a project at any time, on every plan, from Settings. The export contains your decisions, change requests with their criteria, results and developer responses, your Docdrift Docs pages, your capability baseline, your findings, your change notes, your Ask questions and answers, and each project's System Overview. Text written by our AI is marked as such. You can also download the System Overview of a project.
- When you disconnect a repository, we delete everything derived from its code, and everything our AI wrote about it, within 1 hour. What your team wrote or imported stays in a trash for 30 days so you can reconnect, unless the Owner empties it sooner. Deleted data leaves our backups within 84 days.
- Deleting a workspace moves it to the trash for the same period, so the Owner can restore it or export it. Deleting your account permanently deletes the workspaces where you're the only Owner, right away and without the trash.
- Switching providers (EU Data Act). If you're in the European Union, you can ask us to help you switch to another provider or to your own systems at any time, with no notice period. We'll make your data available in the export format above for at least 30 days after you ask, answer your questions about it, and charge nothing for switching. The index we derive from your code (file paths, symbols, entry points and similar) isn't part of the export, because it's rebuilt from your repositories. When the switch is complete, your contract ends and we delete your data as described above.
12. Privacy and data protection
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. When we process personal data on your behalf, our Data Processing Agreement applies automatically as part of these terms; you don't need to sign anything.
13. Security
We protect the Service and Customer Data with the measures described on our Security page and in the Data Processing Agreement. If we learn of a security incident that affects your personal data, we'll tell you without undue delay.
14. Our intellectual property
We own the Service, including its software, design, texts and the Docdrift name and logo. These terms give you the right to use the Service while your account is active; they don't give you any other right to our intellectual property. Open-source components keep their own licenses.
15. Suspension and termination
- You can stop using Docdrift at any time. You can cancel a paid plan or delete your workspace or account in Settings.
- We may suspend or close an account or workspace if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if you don't pay, if we must by law, or to prevent harm to the Service or to others. When we can, we warn you first and give you time to fix the problem or export your data.
- Sections 5, 11 and 14 to 22 survive the end of these terms.
16. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will find every difference between your code and your docs, that its results are accurate or that it fits a particular purpose.
17. Limitation of liability
- To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, even if it was told they were possible.
- To the extent the law allows, our total liability for all claims about the Service is limited to the greater of what you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100.
- These limits don't apply to liability that can't be limited by law, including for fraud, willful misconduct or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury.
18. Your responsibility for claims
If you use Docdrift for a business, you'll defend and compensate us against claims by third parties that arise from Customer Data you had no right to connect or from your breach of the Acceptable Use Policy.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll email the Owner of each workspace and show a notice in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless the change is required by law sooner. If you don't agree, you can stop using Docdrift and delete your account before the change takes effect.
20. Consumers
If you're a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law of your country gives you and that can't be waived by contract, including your rights if the Service isn't as described. In particular:
- European Union and United Kingdom. You have a 14-day right to withdraw from a paid plan, explained in Billing & Refunds. Section 18 doesn't apply to you, and the limits in sections 16 and 17 apply only as far as your local law allows.
- Mexico. You can revoke a purchase within 5 business days, as explained in Billing & Refunds, and contact the Procuraduría Federal del Consumidor (PROFECO) about any complaint. Nothing in these terms makes you give up the protection of the Federal Consumer Protection Law.
21. Governing law and courts
- These terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Mexican States.
- Any dispute goes to the competent courts of the city of Puebla, Puebla, Mexico, and each party waives any other jurisdiction it may have because of its present or future domicile.
- If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can also bring a claim in the courts of that country.
22. General terms
- These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
- If a part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest stays in effect.
- If we don't enforce a right, we don't give it up.
- You can't transfer these terms without our consent. We can transfer them to a company that takes over Docdrift, and we'll tell you if we do.
- Neither party is liable for delays caused by events outside its reasonable control.
- These terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version controls, unless the law of your country requires otherwise.
